The demise of the unbelievers 69-77

40:69 Do you not see how those who dispute about the verses of Allah how they are turned about?
40.69 أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُجَادِلُونَ فِي آيَاتِ اللَّهِ أَنَّى يُصْرَفُونَ
40:70 Those who belie the Book and that with which We sent Our Messengers shall soon know.
40.70 الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِالْكِتَابِ وَبِمَا أَرْسَلْنَا بِهِ رُسُلَنَا فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
40:71 When the fetters and chains are round their necks they shall be dragged
40.71 إِذِ الْأَغْلَالُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَالسَّلَاسِلُ يُسْحَبُونَ
40:72 into boiling water, then, into the Fire they shall be poured.
40.72 فِي الْحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِي النَّارِ يُسْجَرُونَ
40:73 It will then be asked of them, 'Where are those whom you associated,
40.73 ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ
40:74 other than Allah?' They will reply, 'They have gone astray from us. Indeed what we used to call upon before is nothing.' Accordingly, Allah leads the unbelievers astray.
40.74 مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ قَالُوا ضَلُّوا عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُن نَّدْعُو مِن قَبْلُ شَيْئًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ الْكَافِرِينَ
40:75 (And it will be said), 'That is because you rejoiced on earth in things of which you had no right, and were very happy.
40.75 ذَلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ
40:76 Enter the gates of Gehenna (Hell) and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud.'
40.76 ادْخُلُوا أَبْوَابَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ
40:77 Therefore have patience, the Promise of Allah is true. Whether We show you something of that We promise them or call you to Us, to Us they shall all return.
40.77 فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ
