7:11 We created you then We shaped you, then We said to the angels, 'Prostrate yourselves before Adam.' They all prostrated themselves except iblis (satan, the father of jinn) he was not among the prostrated.
7.11 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلآئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ السَّاجِدِينَ
7:12 He (Allah) asked, 'What prevented you to prostrate, when I commanded you?' 'I am better than he,' he (iblis) replied. 'You created me of fire and You created him (Adam) of clay.'
7.12 قَالَ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَلاَّ تَسْجُدَ إِذْ أَمَرْتُكَ قَالَ أَنَاْ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهُ خَلَقْتَنِي مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ
7:13 He (Allah) said, 'Descend from it! This is no place for you to be proud. Begone, you are of the humiliated.'
7.13 قَالَ فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَاخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصَّاغِرِينَ
7:14 he (iblis) replied, 'Respite me till the Day of Resurrection.'
7.14 قَالَ فَأَنظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
7:15 Said He (Allah), 'you are among the respited,'
7.15 قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ المُنظَرِينَ
7:16 he answered, 'Because You have caused me to go astray, I will waylay them as they walk on Your Straight Path,
7.16 قَالَ فَبِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
7:17 and come upon them from the front and from the rear, from their right and from their left. Then, You shall find most of them ungrateful.'
7.17 ثُمَّ لآتِيَنَّهُم مِّن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَانِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلاَ تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَاكِرِينَ
7:18 'Begone! ' said He (Allah), 'despised and outcast. (As for) those of them that follow you, I shall fill Gehenna (Hell) with all of you.'
7.18 قَالَ اخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْؤُومًا مَّدْحُورًا لَّمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لأَمْلأنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
