Pharaoh's sorcerers become believers 7:120-129

7:120 and the sorcerers prostrated themselves,

7.120 وَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ

7:121 saying, 'We believe in the Lord of the Worlds,

7.121 قَالُواْ آمَنَّا بِرِبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

7:122 the Lord of Moses and Aaron.'

7.122 رَبِّ مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ

7:123 Pharaoh said, 'Do you believe in Him before I permit? This is a plot that you have contrived in the city in order to expel its people from it. Now you shall know!

7.123 قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ آمَنتُم بِهِ قَبْلَ أَن آذَنَ لَكُمْ إِنَّ هَذَا لَمَكْرٌ مَّكَرْتُمُوهُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ لِتُخْرِجُواْ مِنْهَا أَهْلَهَا فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

7:124 I will cut off on opposite sides a hand and a foot, and then crucify you all!'

7.124 لأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلاَفٍ ثُمَّ لأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

7:125 They replied, 'We shall surely turn to our Lord.

7.125 قَالُواْ إِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ

Supplication of the believing sorcerers 7:126

7:126 You would take revenge on us only because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Lord, pour patience upon us and let us die as submitters (Muslims).'

7.126 وَمَا تَنقِمُ مِنَّا إِلاَّ أَنْ آمَنَّا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَاءتْنَا رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

7:127 The assembly of Pharaoh's nation said, 'Will you allow Moses and his nation to corrupt in the land and to forsake you and your gods?' He replied, 'We will put their sons to death and spare their women, indeed we are conquerors over them.'

7.127 وَقَالَ الْمَلأُ مِن قَوْمِ فِرْعَونَ أَتَذَرُ مُوسَى وَقَوْمَهُ لِيُفْسِدُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَيَذَرَكَ وَآلِهَتَكَ قَالَ سَنُقَتِّلُ أَبْنَاءهُمْ وَنَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءهُمْ وَإِنَّا فَوْقَهُمْ قَاهِرُونَ

Moses tells his nation to seek help from Allah and to be patient 7:128

7:128 Moses said to his nation, 'Seek help from Allah and be patient. The earth belongs to Allah; He gives it as a heritage to whom He chooses amongst His worshipers. The outcome is for the cautious.'

7.128 قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ اسْتَعِينُوا بِاللّهِ وَاصْبِرُواْ إِنَّ الأَرْضَ لِلّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَن يَشَاء مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

The scorn of the Children of Israel 7:129

7:129 They replied, 'We were hurt before you came to us, and after you came to us.' He said, 'Your Lord may destroy your enemies and make you inheritors in the land. Then He will see how you conduct yourselves.'

7.129 قَالُواْ أُوذِينَا مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَأْتِينَا وَمِن بَعْدِ مَا جِئْتَنَا قَالَ عَسَى رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ
