Joseph is made guardian of the storehouses of Egypt by the king 12:54-57

12:54 The king said, 'Bring him Joseph) before me. I will assign him to myself.' And when he had spoken with him he said, 'Today, you are firmly established in both our favor and trust.'

12.54 وَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ ائْتُونِي بِهِ أَسْتَخْلِصْهُ لِنَفْسِي فَلَمَّا كَلَّمَهُ قَالَ إِنَّكَ الْيَوْمَ لَدَيْنَا مِكِينٌ أَمِينٌ

12:55 He (Joseph) said, 'Give me charge of the storehouses of the land, I am a knowledgeable guardian.'

12.55 قَالَ اجْعَلْنِي عَلَى خَزَآئِنِ الأَرْضِ إِنِّي حَفِيظٌ عَلِيمٌ

Allah never wastes the wage of the righteous 12:56-57

12:56 And as such We established Joseph in the land to live wherever he liked. We bestow Our Mercy on whom We will, and We never waste the wage of the righteous.

12.56 وَكَذَلِكَ مَكَّنِّا لِيُوسُفَ فِي الأَرْضِ يَتَبَوَّأُ مِنْهَا حَيْثُ يَشَاء نُصِيبُ بِرَحْمَتِنَا مَن نَّشَاء وَلاَ نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

12:57 Indeed, the reward of the Everlasting Life is better for those who believe and are cautious.

12.57 وَلَأَجْرُ الآخِرَةِ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَكَانُواْ يَتَّقُونَ
